Gee, and I thought the World's Best Community College in History was near me here in Illinois. Say, you don't suppose your LTC or the people around me might be, er...exaggerating a tiny bit? Heh. Good Luck SFC...

Sorry things are going bad for you. The war is becoming unpopular and I hope nobody harrasses you. However as long as you stay out of the high schools I have no complaint.

Salminio you have no complaint if we stay out of the School's huh. What kind of lame crap is that? I'm sure you are fine with many other companies and college's having access to School's though. I visit each of my school's at least 8 or 9 times every month. I find that many times, I can add a much needed alternative perspective to peoples mind set. With the new's and sadly many teachers putting out a one sided argument dealing with many different world situations balance is greatly needed.
I still can't figure out how a person 17 years old is considered mentally qualified of choosing a job they have never done, as the job of there choice for the next 50 years of there life. Yet with all the hoopla in the media and anti-recruitment effort's they are unable to comprehend the ramification's military service.
I completely believe in supporting a young person in all there hopes and dream's. But how can a guidance counselor live with themselves when they allow a student they are guiding to a future career to choose a job they will never be qualified for. When I say that I mean qualification's they have no control over.
IE Young man plans to join the Navy when he has Diabetes’s.
IE Young lady plan's to be a State Trooper when she has Severe Asthma
Both of which I have seen in my time in recruiting. College is a costly game so going to college for a specific job you can never do seem's a bit of a waste to me.

Hoooah! Northern Recruiter. Explain yourself Salminio, I'm interested in what you meant by your comment.

Salminio, I think you missed some of my meaning of my post. Visits from recruiting battalion reps are jst not fun unless your station is mission boxing within the first two weeks of the month. Anything less and, well, you suck.
Despite my occasional (frequent?) whining things just aren't that bad right now. They could always be better, I could be writing four a month, or I could NOT be recruiting which would be even better.
I'm out here making people's lives better. I'm helping people go to college. I'm helping them pay their bills, or get a house, or earn citizenship, or serve their community.
I don't worry about being harassed. Someone harassing me for being a recruiter, or for being in the Army, is harassing the very organization that makes their harassment possible. I find the irony funny.

Salminio, shut the hell up;
These guys and gals were here before the war, and they'll be here after it. What I find humorous is that they protect & preserve the very freedoms for you to make dumb comments. However, they protect my right to call you out for the idiot you are.

I just wish that our community college wasn't an "extension" of high school and people took it serious. Half of them couldn't pass the ASVAB to save there life. (OK maybe just slightly over half.)
