The NY Times Book Review often flags suspicious sales figures with a little cross thingie, which footnotes to "Bulk sales reported." I suppose the idea is to dishearten the political opposition by inflating the apparent popularity of one idea or another. Suspicion typically falls on books with titles like Dyke! Why Hillary Clinton is a Lesbian. | |
